Is the Business Card Dead?

Business cards can have a limited scope today, and usually if you receive more than one in a day you will be hard pushed to remember who gave you which one. This makes business cards dead on arrival, because there is no point having contact details if you cannot remember whose details they are. One way to solve this problem is to have a close-up shot of your face on your business cards. This immediately allows people to associate the card with your face, and this will greatly increase the chances of them following up on your discussions. A business card that simply states your details is also fairly redundant because there is no real incentive to get in touch. A business card is not an introduction; it is instead a call to action that should spur people into getting in touch. Now that people can simply search on Google for a service, your business card needs to stand out as a keeper as well as encourage contact from potential clients.
